Can we bring in our own food?
Yes! You're welcome to bring in your own food!

All of our party packages include Pop or Water for all the players, but you're welcome to bring in other drinks.

We can also order pizza for your party from Panago. When you arrive and check-in, we'll give you an order form. Simply fill it in, give it back to us right away and we'll order it on your behalf. Panago will deliver your fresh and hot pizza directly to your party table at the right time and you pay the driver yourself. Normal Panago prices apply.

What is an eSports Birthday Party?
eSports Birthday Parties are a new party type exclusively at Laser City. We saw how competitive video gaming ("eSports") has become a massive thing in the last few years, and that kids are increasingly playing (and watching!) competitive gaming.

We wanted to be able to provide a similar experience for birthday parties, so we built an "eSports Stage", complete with 10 high-spec PCs, RGB accessories, gaming chairs and massive screens. Now your kid can feel like their favourite gaming superstar for their birthday!

Are they just playing video games?
Yes, but no. Each party gets their own Gaming Coach who will organize competitions and tasks for the players. By being on the stage with 9 of their friends, this is a fundamentally different experience that playing video games at home. Because the players can see and talk to each other in-person, they'll be much more able to work together as team.

Do the kids have to be experienced at Minecraft/Fortnite?
No. We totally understand that not every kid is a hardcore gamer, and we still want them to have fun. As part of the briefing at the start of the party, your Gaming Coach will chat with the kids about their level of experience and then provide some coaching and training to make sure everyone knows the basics.
During the party the Coach will be helping kids out and giving them tips and tricks. All of the computers also have a "cheat sheet" for the controls for each game.

Do they get to choose the games?
Yes, but generally in advance. When you book your party you'll get to choose either a Fortnite Party or a Minecraft Party. We can change the theme last minute, but knowing in advance allows us to be properly prepared and have everything ready.

Do you have consoles (Xbox, Playstation, etc)?
No, we have PCs. For this type of setup, they work much better. The controls can be slightly different than consoles, but your Gaming Coach will help with that.

Do we play with other people?
No! We do not mix kids for eSports Parties. You'll only be playing with your group and will have your own assigned Gaming Coach to look after you.

Do you have a Fridge and Freezer for cake?
You bet! Just give your cake to the front desk when you first arrive.

Can we host a party outside of your regular hours?
Absolutely! We'd love to open up just for your party. Just call us at 780-800-4920 to book.

When do we get access to our party table(s)?
You'll be able to use your party table(s) for the time of your party. So if you're party is from 2pm to 4.30pm, your party table(s) will be available at 2pm.

Can we decorate the party table?
Yes, but please do not stick or pin anything to the walls or tables. Table cloths and helium balloons are the best way to theme your event!

What's the ages for eSports Parties?
Our parties are designed for ages 8 and up.

When should we and our guests arrive?
Your safety briefing starts at the start of your party, so we suggest telling your guests to arrive 15 minutes before the party time. As the organizer, you should be here shortly before then.
If we have to get started late because players arrived late, we unfortunately cannot extend your playing time.
There's no need to be here super early to setup, as your players will be playing for most of the first 90 minutes of the party, so there's plenty of time to setup your party table.

Can we watch the games?
Yes! Each gaming PC has a second monitor mounted on the front of the stage pointing forward so you can see that individuals game. There's also 2 massive screens that show the players faces (from live cameras!) as well as 2 of the PCs at any time.

What if I have less than 10 players?
The minimum cost is $329.99 for up to 10 players. You can of course bring less, but it doesn't lower the price.

All payments are non-refundable, but you can change your date and time once, up to 72 hours before your booking.
