What's the minimum ages for Laser Tag and Hero Tag?
Laser Tag - 6+
Our vests and guns are lighter than most places, so we find some 5 year olds are ok and almost all 6 year olds are ok. At the end of the day, it's up to the parent. The Laser Tag arena is a little dark and loud, with smoke and flashing lights.
Hero Tag - 4 to 6
The equipment is specifically designed for younger kids. The blasters are light and the vests are smaller. The Hero Tag arena is brighter lit than the Laser Tag arena. You're also the only people playing Hero Tag at that time. This helps make sure everyone feels comfortable and safe.
When should we arrive?
Make sure you're here and ready to go at least 10 minutes before your scheduled start time please. If you're late, we'll do what we can, but you might have to wait until the next game. We can't add people mid-game or delay the start of a game
Can we just show up and play?
As long as we have space, yes. Feel free to call ahead and check - 780-800-4920
Our last game starts 20 minutes before we close.
How long is a game?
For both Hero Tag and Laser Tag each game takes about 25 minutes in total, including the safety briefing, getting geared up, playing, taking off gear and getting your scores. The actual game time is 15 minutes.
Can we bring in our own Food and Drinks?
Yes! We have a wide selection of soft drinks available here, and Birthday Parties come with pop for all the players, but you're welcome to bring your own.
We can also order pizza for your party. Simply let the front desk know what you want when you first arrive and we'll make the arrangements. Or order from your own favourit pizza joint for delivery!
Does it hurt? Is it dangerous?
No, and no. The lasers are 100% harmless and cannot burn or damage eyes. And as long as the safety rules are followed (mostly the no running, crouching, lying down or physical contact ones), there's no way to get hurt in the arena.
Can we watch people play?
Yes! One of the unique features of Laser City is our Viewing Areas. Each arena has a massive window where spectators can see part of the action. Obviously to really see what's going on, we recommend you play (most parents do for example for Laser Tag), but if you can't for whatever reason, you can still enjoy the action
Do we need to sign waivers?
No. Unlike some other activities, laser tag is so safe that we don't require waivers or releases. Just show up and play!
That being said, all playing and activities are at your own risk.
What's included in a Birthday Party?
All Birthday Parties include 2 games of Laser Tag or Hero Tag (1 hour in total), plus 1 hour in a private party room. They also include plates, napkins, forks and spoons, plus a pop or water for each player.
How many players should I book for? What if my numbers change?
We will guarantee you space for the number of players you book for, and because of that, you cannot drop down in package size after you book.
If you need to add more players after you book, give us a call, and if we have space, we'll add them. We'll of course try to add them on the day too, but can't promise there's space in the games for them.
What's your cancellation policy?
All payments are non-refundable, but you can change your date and time once, and/or upgrade your package, up to 72 hours before your booking.
What is your winter weather policy?
We live in a winter city and as such, sometimes we get bad weather. We are open during all but the most exceptional of weather circumstances. We cannot move or refund your booking because of bad weather, beyond our payment policy above.
Do you have a Fridge or Freezer for cakes?
You bet! Just give your cake to the front desk when you first arrive.
Where is Laser City located? Is there parking?
We're located at 10010 107a Ave, just North of Downtown Edmonton.
There's free parking in our lot to the East of the building.
Can you bring the laser tag equipment to me?
No, sorry. Our equipment is designed to be used in our arenas, so has to stay at the facility.
